I was going through the Sunday paper yesterday morning and picking out the good stuff. For me, that means the ads for Target, Cub Foods, and the coupon inserts. I glance at the front page and that's about it. Really, who has time to read the paper?
So, sitting in my "discard" pile (which is also known as the actual news) is the comic section. My five-year-old son picks it up and excitedly looks through it. There's an advertisement for something on the back and he shouts:
"Look Mom, it's the Diarrhea Kid! It's a picture of the Diarrhea Kid!"
Hmmm. Really? Is this a new character I don't know of? Perhaps a young superhero who can wipe butts with a single swipe while simultaneously cleaning my toilet? But alas, no. I look at the picture he's holding of "Diarrhea Kid" and this is what I see:

Nope, not Diarrhea Kid.
It's "Diary of a Wimpy Kid."
A book we've read and a movie we've watched.
Sometimes I think I speak too quickly. And now I know that I for sure speak too quickly.
Love it! I remember when my daughter thought the song "Dirty Little Secret" was "Dirty Little Sea Crab". She did watch the Little Mermaid a lot back then.
